  You shouldn’t be unresponsive before or during booking, fail to provide an adequate point of contact for meeting before a visit, or ghost user that are interacting with you during a booking or a bid process.

Follow essential best practices to ensure safe and secure interactions on Kucing.

• Check user profile
  All the users posting listings on Kucing (homeowners posting property listing & home seekers posting homecasts) have their identity verified through an eKYC process. Additionally, all potential buyers or renters booking visit on our platform go to the same ID verification process. Once a user’s ID is verified a blue “ID verified” icon is displayed next to their profile picture.
• Book a visit/viewing
  Use Kucing secured booking platform to book a tour of the property you are interested in. Don’t forget to close all visits with our visit rating tool.
• Secure meet-ups
  When doing meet-up for a visit, always meet in well-lit, public places – property lobby, gate, guard house... While Kucing may be a community composed of serious users, always remember that meeting up with someone for the first time is akin to meeting a stranger, so be safe and don’t take any risk!
• Always chat within Kucing
  The in-app chat room between users is open 2 hours prior to an upcoming visit. Don’t bring the conversation out of the platform.
• Negotiate within Kucing
  Use the property’s bidding offer and accept system to secure a deal and track interactions between users. The bidding process is Kucing’s way of a firm handshake to show both parties are committed to the deal (please note that Bids are a legally non-binding offers and solely rely on a moral commitment).

  Looking for a place to buy? Beware of scammers pretending to be property agents and asking for fees to organise visits. Visiting a property is free! You do not need to pay any fees to secure a viewing booking.
• The better deals outside Kucing platform scam
  Scammers may entice users to contact them directly on other platforms such as WhatsApp or WeChat by offering a better property listings or faster viewing booking if dealing on third party platforms. Don’t fall for it!
• Fake Kucing website scam
  Beware of fake links in emails and text messages. If the email or message links to an URL that is not Kucing.sg, don't tap or click it. If you did already, please do not enter any personal information on the website that opened.
• Asking for a payment scam
  Kucing will never request for payment through a 3rd party vendor or website. Any payment to be processed is only made through the Kucing app.
• What’s your password scam
  Whatever the situation (e.g., you asked a question to our support team), Kucing will never ever request for your password, personal information or your OTP through phone call or 3rd party websites.
